Saturday, October 4, 2008, 9am-noon
Sponsored by the San Diego Natural History Museum
Paddle down one of San Diego’s oldest reservoirs, Lake Hodges, where southern mixed chaparral gives way to a thin band of San Diegan coastal sage scrub, live-oak woodland, and southern riparian forest. Admire the wide range of plant and animal species while exploring the lake. Let's see how many species we can find.
Bring your binoculars and plenty of drinking water.
Cost is only $55 per adult museum member, $65 per adult non-member, $20 per child (6-12) paddling in double kayak with parent. Price includes kayaks, life vests, paddling equipment, basic instruction, launch fees and instructor/guide.
