3-hour Coronado Island Scenic Tour by Kayak

Here is an opportunity to view beautiful Coronado Island on San Diego Bay by kayak.

We'll meet at Glorietta Bay for an introductory paddling lesson and safety talk. Then we'll launch our kayaks for a guided tour of the bay traveling under the scenic Coronado Bay Bridge.

We'll paddle to the Ferry Landing pointing out various landmarks of the downtown skyline along the way. We typically get up close and personal to many shorebirds such as Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Willets and Spotted Sandpipers.

We make it easy for you to join us on this paddle. We provide all the kayaks and equipment plus an introductory paddling lesson. No previous kayaking or swimming experience is required.

3-hour Green Sea Turtle Discovery Tour

Join us for this wonderful nature tour by kayak in San Diego Bay.

We will visit the northernmost habitat of the Eastern Pacific Green Sea Turtle. We have the most sightings during the winter months when the sea turtles are feeding in the local eel grass beds.

This is also the time to see hundreds of migrating birds that travel through or to San Diego to escape the winter cold. We typically see Black Brant Geese, Canada Geese, Snow Geese, Lesser Scaups, Surf Scoters and White Pelicans.

We also see our local resident birds: Ospreys, Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Brown Pelicans, Buffleheads, and Western Grebes.

Our quiet, slow-moving kayaks will not disturb the turtles or the neighboring bird habitats.

3-hour Pelican and Sea Lion Kayak Tour on Mission Bay

Join us for this fun and easy 3-hour paddle on Mission Bay. This kayaking tour is appropriate for all ages, 2 to 102. No previous kayaking or swimming experience is required.

After an introductory paddling lesson we will explore the bay in our quiet kayaks to discover the many varieties of birds that live here, including Brown Pelicans. We will paddle by the nesting site of the Great Blue Heron on our way to a favorite playground of the California Sea Lions.

We make it easy for you to join us on this paddle. We provide all the kayaks and equipment plus an introductory paddling lesson. We use stable, comfortable kayaks that are easy to paddle for a safe, enjoyable trip in protected waters.

3-hour Sea Lion Kayak Tour on San Diego Bay

Join us for this fun and exciting tour by kayak on San Diego Bay.

We'll meet at Shelter Island for an introductory paddling lesson. Then we'll launch our kayaks for a beautiful tour of the bay traveling toward Point Loma.

Along the way we'll visit the bait barge where the local California Sea Lions hang out. We typically see many species of birds such as Brown Pelicans, Snowy Egrets, Double Crested Cormorants and Great Blue Herons.

We make it easy for you to join us on this paddle. We provide all the kayaks and equipment plus an introductory paddling lesson. No previous kayaking or swimming experience is required.

We use stable, comfortable kayaks that are easy to paddle for a safe, enjoyable day on the bay.

Birding by Kayak at Lake Murray

Join us for a day of exploring Lake Murray, located in Mission Trails Regional Park just east of San Diego.

We see more different species of birds here than on any of the other lakes. Ospreys, Peregrine Falcons, Great Blue Herons, and Night Herons, as well as a variety of Swans, Ducks and Geese all make their home here. We also see migrating birds such as White Pelicans and Canada Geese here in the winter. Bring your binoculars and see how many different species you can find.

Dog Paddle on Mission Bay

Bring your 4-legged pals along for some fun and exercise on this kayak excursion across Mission Bay.

After a brief session to get the dogs comfortable in the kayaks, and a quick paddling lesson for the humans, we will launch our kayaks to explore the Bay. After about an hour we land at the Fiesta Island leash-free area for a romp and playtime. After about 30 minutes of on-land fun we paddle back to our launch site.

Each session is 2 hours and is reserved just for you and your pup.

Easter Brunch Paddle on San Diego Bay

Here is your opportunity to spend Easter Sunday on beautiful San Diego Bay.

We'll meet at Glorietta Bay for an introductory paddling lesson. Then we'll launch our kayaks for a leisurely tour of San Diego Bay traveling under the scenic Coronado Bridge. We'll land on the beach at the Coronado Ferry Landing and walk to Peohe's for a scrumptious brunch. As we relax out on the patio we'll have a beautiful view of the downtown skyline. After brunch we'll paddle back to Glorietta Bay.

We use stable, comfortable kayaks that are easy to paddle. No prior paddling or swimming experience is required. We provide all the equipment, life vests and instruction you need for a safe, enjoyable experience.

El Capitan Reservoir Nature Tour by Kayak

Join us for this great nature tour on one of San Diego’s largest lakes. Located in the rural hills east of Lakeside, the lake is known for its Wild Hogs that graze along the shoreline and Wild Turkeys that can be seen running through the tall grass.

It is a known nesting site for Spotted Sandpipers, Willow Flycatchers and Great Egrets. Bring your binoculars and see how many different species you can find.

Evening Dinner Paddle on Mission Bay

Here is a fun and unique adventure for friends, family and co-workers during our beautiful summer nights here in San Diego.

We'll meet at South Shores launch ramp and paddle across Mission Bay exploring as we go. We will pass by Sea World and visit the favorite nesting site of the Great Blue Heron.

We'll meet at the Lake Hodges launch ramp, have an introductory paddling lesson, then launch our kayaks for a paddle across the lake to Hernandez Hideaway. There we'll enjoy a fabulous no-host brunch in the typical Hernandez family Mexican style. After a satisfying meal we will paddle back to the launch ramp.

Lake Morena: Weekend Kayak Camping Workshop

Here is a great opportunity to learn how to kayak in a beautiful remote setting. Lake Morena is located in the mountains an hour east of San Diego. We will drive over Friday evening and set up camp for two nights.

On Saturday we will start with on-land instruction and then head out on the water. Instruction will include balancing, entering and exiting the kayak, five different paddling strokes, turning and safety.

Here is an opportunity to show Mom she is young at heart by taking her on a unique outdoor adventure.

Nature Tour at Lake Hodges, North San Diego County

Join us for this nature tour on one of San Diego's oldest reservoirs. Located in the hills west of Escondido, we often see mule deer and coyotes come down to the water for a drink as we paddle by.

After a rain there are a couple of nice waterfalls and occasionally the dam is known to overflow.

We also see many resident birds on the lake such as Western Grebes, Great Egrets, American Coots, and Great Blue Herons. Bring your binoculars and see how many different species you can find.

Nature Tour at Lower Otay Lake, San Diego County

Lower Otay is the home of the U.S. Olympic Training Center for rowing sports. The lake has 1100 acres of water and a 25-mile shoreline so there is lots of room for exploring. In addition to the Great Egrets, Great Blue Herons and Ospreys that live here, thousands of birds stop here during their annual winter migration. We watched a pair of peregrine falcons on our paddle here last year.

After in introductory kayak lesson, we will explore the lake looking for birds in our quiet kayaks.

Nature Tour on Miramar Lake

Join us for a beautiful morning of kayaking on Miramar Lake in Scripps Ranch. The lake has 4 miles of shoreline so there is lots of area for exploring.

The lake is home to many water birds such as ospreys, mallard ducks, great egrets, great blue herons, and American coots. In addition, hundreds of birds stop here during their annual winter migration.

After in introductory kayak lesson, we will explore the lake looking for birds in our quiet kayaks. Bring your binoculars and see how many different species you can find.
